Nobuko Ishikawa was born and lived her whole life in Japan, a reality deeply mirrored in her jewelry creations. Early in her career, she established an atelier in Ichikawa, near Tokyo, where she worked diligently, mastering intricate techniques. Japanese high jewelry possesses unique characteristics, and Nobuko drew upon this tradition while infusing it with a European flair: remarkable craftsmanship, the employment of Japanese lacquer and mother-of-pearl, and the blending of copper with gold.
