Established in the early 1970s by Michael Dancer, a former Coro executive, alongside Lynn Gordon and Marge Boforsky—who had previously launched Mylu, a Coro division famed for its holiday jewelry—the firm Tancer & Two emerged during this period. Within copyright records, Dancer appears under the designation TANCER II (c), a mark also visible on the items themselves. On May 26, 1981, Dancer Corporation secured the HIGH HOOPS trademark for earrings; however, this registration was voided on December 1, 1987, following a failure to submit the required declaration. Additional brand assets held by the enterprise are detailed subsequently.

Renowned for crafting festive accessories, particularly brooches shaped like Christmas trees, the business also manufactured various other forms of fashion jewelry. Certain pieces bore foil labels inscribed with the name “Tancer & Two.”

It is unclear when Tancer & Two jewelry ceased production. Jewelry historians note that the company’s magazine advertisement dates back to 1976, meaning it had been in business for at least five years.
