Merry Renck, an artist and sculptor, is regarded as a trailblazer in the realm of contemporary American jewelry design. Following the conclusion of the war, she initially experimented with enamel before rapidly transitioning to metal and wire, crafting organic, sculptural shapes that garnered admiration from discerning collectors on both sides of the Atlantic.

In 1969, alongside Michael Brandt, she was featured in the exhibition and accompanying publication titled “Objects: USA,” showcasing her White Cloud Wedding Crown—a piece crafted from gold petals and adorned with 250 pearls. This particular work found its way into the MAD museum’s collection, prompting the creation of additional similar works within the jeweler’s studio.
