Philippe Charriol, having served as the sales director for Cartier across the expansive Asian and American markets, recognized the immense value of high-end accessories and established his own enterprise in 1983.

Initial triumph was achieved through timepieces, where authentic Swiss mechanics paired with distinctive aesthetics rapidly elevated the new label’s fame. Currently, the Charriol house crafts jewelry, writing instruments, handbags, fragrances, and notably, eyewear.

The inaugural “optical” range debuted in 1993. Today, collaborating with Grosfilley Lunettes, a premier French manufacturer of luxury eyewear, we develop styles that transcend mere utility.

By employing superior components, such as noble metals and gemstones, alongside artisanal techniques, singular creations emerge that reflect the brand’s ethos: “The Art of Living Differently” (L’Art de vivre la difference). Consistently, the aesthetic of Charriol frames and sunglasses mirrors the visual language of the brand’s horological and jewelry collections.
